Danielle Jenkins
Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner
Danielle Jenkins is Nationally Board Certified as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) by the American Nurses Credentialing Center. This certification allows her to diagnose and treat mental illness in a variety of ways including prescribing medications. She received her Master of Nursing Science degree from The University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences and has experience treating depression, anxiety, PTSD, ADHD, autism spectrum disorders, mood disorders, psychotic disorders, eating disorders, insomnia, and substance abuse disorders. Danielle is able to treat persons at any stage of life including children, adolescents, adults, and geriatric patients.
Danielle’s goal as a PMHNP is to help patients along their mental health journey. She will work tirelessly to meet people where they are, as well as collaborate with them to develop a cohesive and pharmacologically advised plan to get where they need and, more importantly, want to go. This journey consists of establishing a safe, judgement-free space that encourages honesty to most efficiently and effectively help those in her care. Honesty, communication, and open dialogue are key components to creating a complete and considerate treatment and wellness plan.
While Danielle loves helping “people”, she was definitely a vet in a past life. She LOVES animals and in her free time she enjoys playing with her two dogs (Tequila and Margarita) and two cats (Max and Miette). She also enjoys curling up with them to read a good book when she can find the time.
