Hilary Childers
Licensed Psychological Examiner
Hilary is an Independently Licensed Psychological Examiner (03-06EI) providing mental health services to children, adolescents, and families at New Path in Conway. Hilary received both her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Masters of Science in School Psychology at the University of Central Arkansas.
Children’s mental health is an essential part of their overall health. Hilary’s passion lies in providing effective care to children, adolescents, and families in order to help them live happy and healthy lives. She has provided mental health services since 2006, which have included individual therapy, family therapy, group therapy, crisis intervention, behavior management, parenting skills training, intensive family services, consultation, and psychological assessment. She has worked in a variety of settings including pediatric daycares, community mental health centers, human development centers, public schools, therapeutic group homes, acute/residential facilities, detention centers, and medical centers.
Hilary provides a safe and supportive environment for her clients to express themselves, work through the difficulties they are experiencing, learn and practice coping skills, build confidence and self-esteem, and strengthen relationships. She is certified in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) and Infant Mental Health and is currently working toward a certification in Child Parent Psychotherapy (CPP). Hilary also uses a variety of other techniques to help clients (cognitive-behavioral, solution-focused, person-centered, and therapeutic play). She has provided services to individuals experiencing challenges such as anxiety, depression, anger, trauma, grief, and behavior problems.
When not working, Hilary enjoys volunteering at a therapeutic horseback riding facility in Greenbrier, AR.
